Important double gourd vase
Of "huluping" form, the lower body of globular shape and the upper body piriform, including a long thin neck. A Yongzheng mark in a double blue band under the base.
Height : 32,8 cm
Diameter : 22 cm
Restoration at the base, defects in the glaze. The glaze includes a fine network of cracks.
Provenance: Private collection from the South of France. Acquired in New York in the late 1990's. (Presumably)

Fine and rare celadon-glaze double-gourd porcelain vase, Huluping
elegantly potted with a globular lower bulb supporting a slightly smaller upper bulb with a narrow mouth, covered overall in a lustrous glaze thinning at the rim to reveal the white body, the recessed base encircled by an unglazed footring, the base with a six-character archaistic seal mark in underglaze blue

The base with a hairline and old restoration. Firing defect to the base. Fine glaze cracks overall the body.
