FERRARI 612 SCAGLIETTI, 2005 The new advancing by retracing the stylistic features of a myth Chassis no. ZFFAY54B000140535 Papers: Italian registration papers Equipped with the comfortable 6-speed semiautomatic transmission Desirable Mirabeau Blue color Just under 18935 km from new Retains original owner's manuals, including original service booklet The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, built to replace the 456 as well as to commemorate the legendary coachbuilder, saw the rebirth of a more elegant and sophisticated four-seater Ferrari. The new 612 gracefully revives the spirit of the original four-seater Ferrari, the 250 GTE. The 612, designed by Ken Okuyama and Frank Stephenson of Pininfarina, incorporates a number of styling cues from the legendary Ferrari 375 MM 'Rossellini-Bergman' coupe. The curvy headlights along with the front fenders and doors elegantly pay homage to the exotic model from which it draws inspiration. It was Okuyama and Stephenson's vision that would eventually give birth to the 612. However, beneath its sleek body lies a technological marvel. The 612 is powered by the 5.7-liter V12 from the 575 Maranello, a gem of an engine. Owners had the option of mating an F1-style semi-automatic six-speed gearbox or a traditional manual transmission. In an effort to ensure that the 612 was a perfect driving car, the transmission was placed in the rear, thus increasing driving dynamics. At a top speed of 200 mph (320 km/h), the 612 Scaglietti not only allowed for high-speed driving, but also for maximum comfort. The spectacular example offered here, with its fantastic five-spoke alloy wheels, shows just under 15,000 km on the odometer. The car's refined proportions are accentuated by the stunning exterior in Mirabeau Blue that proudly offers the fender-mounted Scuderia shields. The interior is equally classy and finished in tan leather. Of course, the car is equipped with its convenient 6-speed semi-automatic transmission, which can completely transform this 612 Scaglietti into a truly rewarding driving machine.
