ROLLS ROYCE 25/30, 1937 The car of King Farouk I of Egypt Chassis: 20 Unique opportunity to own the flagship car of King Farouk I of Egypt Old conservative restoration Highly collectible car Italian registration papers, vehicle of historical collector's interest with registration on the registration book. The car still retains its original license plates from Alexandria, Egypt This Rolls Royce 25/30, owned by King Farouk I of Egypt and used on the occasion of his wedding to Princess Farida, still retains its original license plates (Prive Alx 12571) from Alexandria, Egypt, personalized for the Monarch himself. King Farouk I had a real passion for fine pieces, and although he had luxurious and fashionable cars in those years, it was with the Rolls Royce 25/30 that he wanted to be accompanied on his wedding day to Farida of Egypt. The car was finished with Royal Red panels, while the car's upper surfaces, wings, and wheels were painted black. The interior was upholstered in light gray Bedford Cord, which it retains, with dark gray leather upholstery for the front compartment. The woodwork was solid polished, still in good condition. Maintained with original interior colors, the engine is also original, while the brake system has been reconditioned keeping the same characteristics as the original. The tires are new with whitewall. Notably, the Rolls Royce 25/30 is a car built from 1936 to 1938 and reincarnates the updated 20/25 but with a larger engine that provided more power. The straight-six with overhead valves was 4257cc. The carburetor was single, Stromberg. The riveted chassis had rigid front and rear axles suspended by springs and shock absorbers. Braking was power-assisted and the handbrake acted on dedicated brakes. In short, while the chassis and mechanical parts were made by Rolls Royce, the body was made and fitted by a coachbuilder selected by King Farouk I.
