A Façon de Venise wine glass, 17th century, probably Netherlands/Low Countries, H 18 cm, D 9.6 cm, Provenance; purchased from Jaap Wiegersma (Utrecht) in 1939, thence by descent through the family. With a long hollow fusiform stem and a conical cuppa. A miniscule pin prick size chip to the foot rim. No other damage or restoration. Airbubbles and small imperfections in the glass as to be expected (typical manufacturing flaws and irregularities). No restoration.
