A Façon de Venise wine glass, 17th century, probably Netherlands/Low Countries, H 17 cm, D 8.8 cm, Provenance; purchased from Jaap Wiegersma (Utrecht) in 1945/46, thence by descent through the family. A clear glass cup with a conical cuppa on a hollow baluster stem and a folded foot rim. Pristine condition. No damage or restoration. Airbubbles and small imperfections in the glass as to be expected (typical manufacturing flaws and irregularities). No restoration.
