François Denis Henri Albert de la Rochefoucauld (1799-1854), Baron de Bayers.
In 1827, he was listed as Captain-Aide-Major of the Royal Guard mounted chasseurs.
Unfortunately, his Legion of Honor file is very incomplete.
Our man wears the uniform of the Royal Guard mounted chasseurs, with his colback at his side. The saber is an officer's model 1822 light cavalry saber. The giberne band, with silver passementerie braid and black fillets, is adorned with the royal grenade and crown in gilded brass.
The gold epaulets are those of a captain. He wears the distinctive aiguillette of the Royal Guard.
