Ink and pencil on paper. Signed and dated 1972. Framed. It was the great singularity of the artistic career of this painter, Zaragozan by adoption, which made him worthy of the Aragon Goya Award in 2011 for his work in the advancement of Spanish painting in the twentieth century. In the 1950s he founded the so-called Grupo Zaragoza, which together with other local authors set out to follow the path of El Paso and go further to perpetuate the legacy of abstraction in Spanish plastic art. The marked graphics, black lines that seem to divide the space abruptly, the important impasto, which in the 60s became sculpture-painting in his work, as well as the predominance of ochers, siennas, grays or browns combined with other more vibrant shades became signs of his artistic identity, of an admirable coherence. As evidenced by the plasticity of these works.25 x 15 cm.
