Malay world (Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines). The kriss was usually forged from soft iron and carbon steel. Exceptionally, meteoritic iron was used in the 19th century to forge some kriss for the rulers of Surakarta and Yogyakarta. Indonesia. Length: 52 cm.
