Processional cross in embossed, engraved and gilded copper on a wooden core. Three-lobed branch ends with redents.
Face: Christ with head tilted towards the right shoulder, arms above the horizontal, perizonium descending to the knees with pan flying to the side, legs bent with feet superimposed in internal rotation resting on the suppedaneum; he is surrounded on the left and right by the Virgin and Saint John and, above and below, by busts of angels with outstretched wings.
Reverse: Christ seated, holding the Book in his left hand and blessing with the other; he is surrounded by the Tetramorph; branches adorned with starry rosettes.
Godron baluster knot with foliage and dolphins. The perimeter of the cross is punctuated with openwork motifs with putto heads.

Plexiglas base (minor dents, notably at the head of Christ on the cross, later additions such as the knot and cherub-headed motifs around the perimeter, lower rose window on reverse replaced).

This type of cross spread throughout the Veneto region in the 14th century, and several examples can be found in Trieste's Civic Museum of History and Art, in the church of St. Michael the Archangel in San Daniele del Friuli, and in the church of St. George in Varenna.
