Six bottles Imperial CVNE, Reserva 2005. Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España. Category: Red wine. D.O. Rioja. Haro. Level: A. Imperial is one of the great wines of Spain, a classic Rioja wine that was born in the 1920s. Imperial is only made when there are exceptional harvests in the Rioja Alta. The CVNE (Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España) winery dates back to 1879, and still maintains its original site, the Barrio de la Estación winery in Haro, in the Rioja Alta. At CVNE, the winemaking process is still cared for with the same dedication and commitment as it was in the early years of the company. And it is cared for from the very beginning, from the time the grapes are on the vine until the wine rests in the bottle. CVNE was one of the first wineries in La Rioja to bottle, and already in 1900 it had an extraordinary ageing capacity of 80,000 bottles, something unusual at a time when it was normal to dispatch the wine as soon as possible. Nowadays, for CVNE, bottling is still a process to be pampered.
