Patinated bronze sculpture. Signed and titled "Camille Desmoulins Palais Royal 1789".
The lawyer and revolutionary Desmoulins was an important figure in the French Revolution and organized a rehearsal for the storming of the Bastille in 1789 with an appeal to the people to demonstrate in the Royal Palace. He ended up executed by the revolutionary court.
Dumaige made two versions of this model with a height of 67 and 97 cm.
