JAEGER LECOULTRE MEMOVOX DEEPSEA ALARM. REF. E 857.EUROPE. PRODUCED BETWEEN 1959-1962. Vintage diving wristwatch in steel. CASE: round, engraved screw-down caseback, two crowns, black, fixed, graduated bezel with luminous triangular quarter markers. Water-resistant to 150 m. DIAL: black, luminous epis and triangular hour-markers, central disc for alarm setting, central seconds-hand, rear hands. MOVEMENT: automatic, cal. K815. STRAP: steel with JLC folding clasp (later). Dial, case and movement signed. Numbered 843819. DIAMETER 39 mm. WITH : Extract from Archives in progress. PROVENANCE: acquired by descent from the first owner. This was the first model in watchmaking to feature an alarm for a diver's watch. Around 200 of this version were produced for the European market between 1959 and 1962 (1,061 in all, including 800 for the US market).
