A very interesting auction catalog of Mr. Edwards' collection of paintings, comprising three articles on the collector and his paintings by Théophile Gautier, Jules Janin and Paul de Saint-Victor. It is illustrated with 26 original photographs reproducing works by Eugène Delacroix, Jules Dupré, Théodore Rousseau, Goya and Corot. This is one of the very first catalogs to be illustrated with original photographs. Each lot is annotated with the sale price and buyer's name.
