A BARBED RIM FAMILLE VERTE PORCELAIN CHARGER
China, Kangxi Period (1662-1722). With sides rising to a barbed rim, the interior painted in polychrome enamels, iron red and gold depicting a palace garden with a pavilion, a deer and various flowers. The cavetto with overlapping floral border vignettes, flower branches to the reverse. The base with a lozenge mark within a double circle in underglaze blue.
Condition: Restored condition with few visible hairlines and small chips to rim showing old fills, extensive fritting to rim, some minor chipping to foot, manufacturing imperfections such as glaze flaking, general wear, and traces of use.
