AN U-THONG STYLE LACQUER GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI Thailand, 17th century or earlier. Standing in samabhanga, the right hand in abhaya mudra, wearing a samghati, his face with ridged eyebrows, round lips, elongated earlobes, curled hair and the usnisha surmounted by a flame, covered with remnants of gilt.
