ABSTRACT AMERICAN COLOR LITHOGRAPH BY RAY PARKER
Raymond Ray Parker, American, 1922 to 1990, color lithograph on paper depicting an abstract expressionist composition, 1970. Framed. Inscribed, Triton Press, and dated, on the backside. Ray Parker was an American abstract expressionist painter who was an influential figure in the Color Field Post Painterly Abstraction movements. Like many artists of the time, he was highly influenced by Jazz, which combined with his interest in abstract expressionism, led to his improvised painting style and ability to express emotion through simple forms and colors. Parkers work can be found in the Guggenheim Museum, MOMA, Whitney Museum, the Metropolitan Museum, and Tate Gallery in London. American Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles.
