King vulture on a tree trunk, Meissen, Knauff swords 1850-1924, 1st choice, design by Johann Joachim Kändler in 1734, archive model no. 1768 (addendum number), almost life-size figure of king vulture (Sarcorhamphus papa), it is almost 80 cm tall and occurs in southern Mexico to Brazil, both clawed feet laterally on branch attachments, the body forward, the head turned to the left, the gaze directed backward, polychrome painted in naturalistic colors, the bill colored red, orange, black and white, on the base of the bill orange bead, head and neck naked bright red-orange, plumage gray-white with black wings and gray ruff, restored, h. 70 cm, lit.: Bergmann-Animals, p. 339, cat.
