Very rare tunk lighter (from the group of chemical lighters), France around 1830 (Merckel Paris). Rectangular body made of fine grained wood with brass inlays, on the lid in brass ''Feu''. Hinged lid with mechanical closure, right narrow side also hinged and hinged to fold out, on it a holder for a small candle, which disappears horizontally in the box when closed. Inside divided into a large compartment with glass acid vial (for sulfuric acid), the lid of which is in the lid of the box (when you close the box, the vial also closes automatically), and a smaller one for matches and the candle. Under the bottom a round inset brass plaque ''Merckel Breveté Paris''. Slightly rubbed, small missing part on the back, 6.5 x 8.5 x 6 cm.
