Islamic perfume burner, 9th-10th century AD.
Glass-paste.
In a good state of preservation.
Provenance: European private collection.
Measurements: 7 x 5 x 5 cm.
Perfumer made entirely of glass paste decorated with a moulding that runs around the entire globular body in a serpentine shape. This moulding is the same colour as the rest of the piece. The perfume bottle has a long neck and a rounded mouth to facilitate the dispensing of ointments.
