c. 1925, unsigned, bronze polychrome painted in cold colors, ivory finely carved, depicting a standing young lady with bobbed head and top hat, wearing an elegant revue costume, on original multi-piece assembled base of brown marble, green onyx and black slate, ivory with slight drying cracks, slight signs of age, h bronze 39 cm, h overall 59 cm. Student of Philipp Willmann, study trips to Milan, Rome and Paris, active in Berlin, where he founded his own company Preiss & Kassler, whose collection initially included small sculptures made of ivory, including children's statuettes and sculptures, from 1910 the first combination sculptures made of bronze with ivory.
