The agbogho-mmwo girl spirit mask is the embodiment of the ideal feminine-youthful beauty, which presupposes the balance of inner and outer values.
It was danced by men before and after the cultivation season for fertility and good harvest. The actors tried to express the exemplary qualities of unmarried girls as gracefully as possible, which sometimes contributed to the delicious entertainment of the audience.
