Rubbing oracle, "itombwa Lele, DR Congo ohne Sockel / without base Wood, cord. H 4,5 cm. L 32,5 cm. On the occasion of divination rituals, such devices acted as a physical interface between the diviner and his client. The healer's spiritual advisors manifested the answers to questions posed by a healer or advice seeker, by controlling the oracular device.
