Pair of large girandoles as a director's gift from the Supervisory Board and Board of Directors of the Bankverein für Schleswig-Holstein. Silver. 1- and 5-flute respectively; Nearly round, flower-shaped curved, profiled stand, weighted. High baluster stem with stepped shoulder and strongly widening spout. Removable, open-worked insert with four curved, narrow candelabra arms and centrally rising corresponding spout. Straight eaves bowls. The candelabra is divided by matching curved, vertical lines. Engraved dedication inscription and date on the lowest eave bowl; figure 800, maker's mark. Weight in total ca. 2845 g. H. 49 cm. A pair of large 1- or 5-light German weighted silver girandoles with dedication inscription. Standard mark 800, maker's mark. German. Schwäbisch Gmünd. Kühn Brothers. 1st half of 20th century.
