Large honorary cup in Empire style as a gift donated by "Kaiser Wilhelm II to the Berlin-Potsdamer Reiterverein 1902". Silver. Trumpet-shaped, profiled stand, merging into indented, short shaft. High, widening dome tapering to the shoulder, the base with relief-plastic godrons, the center with laurel festoon supported by relief-plastic loops, and the rim or stand surrounded by large-leaf lancet frieze over a hallmarked ground. The rim decorated with fine beaded band. Engraved inscription and date on the front; two high rising canted handles on the side. Marked by 800, maker's mark, dealer's mark Gebrüder Friedländer. Weight 1770 g. H. 41 cm. Provenance: From old German nobility property. A large German Empire style silver donated trophy by Emperor Wilhelm II to the Riding Club Berlin-Potsdam.
