Heavy empire style silver ice cube tray. Over narrow, rising stand ring, conical, thick-walled body with stepped rim. The stand ring and rim are surrounded by delicate laurel leaf and baton frieze in relief. On the smooth wall, a raised oval medallion with an applied Napoleon monogram "N", surrounded by a crowned laurel wreath in relief with a bow. Interspersed with stylized palmettes flanked by floral calyxes. Gest., French export stamp since 1879, maker's mark. Weight ca. 540 g. H. 13 cm. See Rosenberg, Vol. IV, No. 5920.
