Large handle tray silver. Eight-cornered shape, merging into straight, wide flag. Mirror decorated over the entire surface with fine hammered decoration. Centered by a corresponding octagonal engraved medallion with central character surrounded by depictions of clouds and two flying dragons, framed by meandering band. The flag circumferentially and alternately decorated with relief sculptural battle scenes and medallions with characters. Two edged handles decorated with bamboo leaves and flowers on the sides. Gest., hallmark, master probably Tu Mao Xing (active from ca. 1880). Weight ca. 3340 g. 71 cm x 42 cm. A large Chinese silver handled tray probably by Tu Mao Xing (active since around 1880). Assay and master's mark. China. Jiujiang. Around 1900.
