Large silver platter, richly chased, with central coat of arms marked Faith. on the reverse marked "S. A Princesse Lobanoff de Rostoff née princesse Dolgorouky". Minerve hallmark, MO Jules PIAULT (written in full on reverse), late 19th century Weight: 4,530 Kg. 73 x 47 cm. Princess Lobanoff de Rostoff (1836?-1919) left Russia after the 1905 revolution to settle in Paris, where she is buried in the Père Lachaise cemetery. Her collection is one of the most important collections of jewelry ever sold at auction.
