The work, which denotes exquisite quality, shows obvious references to the art of Veronese, especially Giambattista Zelotti's interpretation of it. This root points us to Louis Dorigny, an important French painter who left a host of excellent works in the territories of the Serenissima between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, as the probable author of the work.
