Appr. paper dimensions 88 x 61 cm Lithographic printers active from 1839 till 1866, partnership of Ferdinand Piloty I and Loehle were the official publishers of the 'Königlich Bayerische Pinakothek' (Royal Bavarian Pinakothek). Their lithographs were produced in chine collé technique which allowed the printmaker to print on a much more delicate surface, such as Japanese paper bonded onto a heavier support, that pulls finer details off the plate.
