Contemporary full shagreened calf. Smooth spine decorated with gilt fleurons. Red morocco title-piece. Double gilt lace trim around covers. All edges gilt. Friction, 1st plate spine split, corners dulled. Scattered brown spots, mainly on plates.
Edition adorned with a frontispiece and 5 fine figures by Nicolas-André Monsiau, stipple-engraved in color and inked with doll's ink.
