Full long-grained red morocco ("Rel. F. Bozérian Jeune" in gilt lettering at bottom of spine of volume 1). Smooth spine richly decorated with dotted floral motifs, with title and tomaison in gilt lettering. Boards decorated with a frame of gilded fillets and a garland of gilded vines and grapes. Gilded Greek-style lace on back covers. Engine-turned head and neck boards. All edges gilt. Spines sunned, spine ends rubbed. Light brown spots, mainly on engravings.
Fine edition, decorated with a portrait of the author and 8 attractive engraved figures after Moreau le Jeune. The title page of the poem "Le Parrain magnifique", placed at the end of volume 2, is dated 1810.
