Full broad-grained Jansenist tobacco morocco (Semet et Plumelle). Spine with 4 nerfs surrounded by cold filets. Author, title and date in gilt letters. Contreplats adorned with a double set of gilt fillet separated by gilt perlé with gilt arabesques in the corners. Gilt fillet running along the edges. All edges gilt. Fresh covers and spines. Case lined with the same tobacco morocco (minor rubbing). Very fresh inside (bookplate discharge on title page).
First edition of the author's 3rd and only collection of Parnassian-inspired poems, dedicated to Charles Leconte de Lisle.
