Russian porcelain neo-rococo figural mantle clock, Imperial Porcelain Manufactory, St. Petersburg. The clock is decorated with elaborate gilding and shell ornament. The skirt of the clock features figures of two resting sheep and a shepherd and a shepherdess surrounded by flowers. A painted bouquet is featured on the front and the back pf the piece. A glass case is enclosing an enameled metal dial with Roman chapters, five minute marks in Arabic numerals and an inscription "S. Petersburg". Marked on the bottom with "N I" in underglaze blue.
Reign of Nicholas I (1825-1855), after 1836.
