Ormolu bronze tabletop inkwell cast as seated Cossack Ataman Matfei Platov. The inkwell is based on four dolphin-shaped leggs. The Cossack is depicted holding a canteen and beaker. A French banner is placed on the ground in from of the seated figure commemorating the Russian victory over Napoleon in the 1812 Campaign.

Very good with minor signs of age and wear.
