Assili earthenware jar Polychrome earthenware Tunisia, Qallaline, 19th century H. 32 cm. Chips and chips. Three-handled, high-necked jar decorated with stylized friezes in Tunisian Qallaline earthenware. Similar pieces published by Alain and Dalila Loviconi in Faïences de Tunisie are described as assili or ajeddou, and were used to hang in the bridal chamber to diffuse perfumes.
