Tankard, Altenburg/ Rochlitz-Lunzenau, around 1735/45, stoneware. Cylindrical form, wide grooved bands in the upper and lower third of the wall, handle with back ridge and pressed end. Wall two-thirds brown engobed. Upper third ochre yellow. Pewter lid and foot ring, lid engraved ''J.R.W. 1837''. Lid marks: Meissen city mark, master Gottfried August Krause, active 1778-1819, cf.
