Tankard, Altenburg, 2nd third of the 18th century. Stoneware, upper third ocher yellow, rest of the wall engobed rust brown. Handle with back ridge and pressed end. Salt glaze. Grooved bands in the upper and lower thirds of the wall. Pewter lid engraved ''J. B. B. Ao. 1781'', with city and master marks. H. 21 cm. Stoneware stain with pewter lid, engraved date at lid: 1781. Pewterer's marks. Altenburg/ Saxony, 2nd third 18th ct. H. 21 cm.
