Pair of gallery cabinets à la chinoise, probably Giles GRENDEY or environment- probably England, 18th/19th cent. Century, angular 2-door corpus à deux-piece with attached finial, red lacquered and decorated with lush gold painting with chinoiseries (figures, animals and pagodas in Asian landscape), the stand and the curved finial with historicizing carving (volutes, acanthus leaves, feather heads and vase vessels) and gilded, finely chased brass fittings and 2 lateral bow handles, inside each a multitude (12 pieces) of red lacquered drawers with corresponding gold painting, h 225cm, w 115cm, d 55cm, several stress cracks, lacquer damages and chipped gold paint
