The work comprises 7 double plates hors texte of views and details of the Maison carrée, the Temple de la fontaine, the Pont du Gard and the Arènes, 4 full-page figures representing a plan of the walls, a bird's-eye view of the city and two statues, and 5 vignettes of numismatics and epigraphy, all wood-engraved. The title is adorned with a beautiful frame by Pierre Eskreich, and the text is enamelled with decorated lettering. A fine copy in a red morocco binding with early 17th-century petit-fers decoration of friezes and cartouches.
