Iron helmet that largely enclosed the head with occiput, leaving the face free. High calotte with slightly indicated tip at the rear crown. At the back and sides the lower rim running horizontally, bending upwards in front of the face, the edge of the face cutout drawn deep into the forehead. The edges slightly turned outwards with a gentle sweep. Around the rim rivets for attaching mail. Minimal chipping on the left edge replaced (more than 98% original substance). Iron corrosion expertly stabilised.
