3 account books, including 2 from the Taintenier family, in-laws of Renier Chalon. 18th c. In-f°. Soft parchment, ms. title on front board, four drawstrings (stains and soiling). Includes: 1. 1787 Mons. 78 ff. with aut. signatures in fine. Account drawn up by J.-B. Finet and N.-J. Chevalier, trustees appointed by the creditors of Jacques-Augustin Taintenier (1727-1785), esquire, lawyer at the Sovereign Council of Hainaut, alderman of Mons and grandfather of Chalon's wife. - 2 Ibid. 1775. 110 ff. Detailed and circumstantial statement of costs incurred in the construction of a "fire machine" at the "Picrÿ" (Picquery) colliery in Frameries, for J.-A. Taintenier and Alexis Joseph Criquillion, merchant and founder of the operation that later became part of the Crachet-Picquery company. Enriched with ± 35 receipts on loose sheets relating to expenses incurred for the said machine. A precious testimony to this flagship of the Borinage coal industry. - 3 "Chaserios [chassereau] de Philippe Ignace Pierre et Marie Anne Lolivier [ou L'Olivier] vivant conjoint". Ath, [c. 1734-1788]. 14 ff. Property located in Ath, Cambron-Casteaux, Lombise, Silly, etc. In fine a long note on the Lolivier family (marriage, births, deaths), allied to the Tainteniers.
