First edition of the translation, published the same year as the Latin edition, describing the collection of the Mantuan antiquarian J. de Strada (1515-1588). Considered one of the earliest works on numismatics, this collection contains over 400 woodcuts on a black background depicting the medals of emperors and empresses from Julius Caesar to Charles V.
