Leather-covered handle with filigree. Brass mounting. Three-point guard. Flat-backed curved blade, engraved "Mre d'Armes de Chatlt mars 1878 Cavalie Lege 1822", with counter-edge and hollow sides, hallmarked at the heel. Scabbard with one strap and one iron ring.
