Facsimile "Codex Manesse" - it is one of the most important manuscripts of the Middle Ages. It consists of Middle High German songs and poems with the main theme of courtly love. Numerous full-page miniatures adorn the work. It was named after and commissioned by the patrician family Manesse from Zurich in the 14th century. The original is kept in Heidelberg today. Large format facsimile, plus commentary volume, both in cardboard slipcase, Insel Verlag 1981. Addition: W. Schmidt, Die Manessische Handschrift ca 1300-1340, Safari Verlag Berlin 1960 as well as 1 x Ingo Walther (ed.), "Sämtliche Miniaturen der Manesse-Liederhandschrift", Verlag Dr. Rudolf Georgi, Aachen 1981. With signs of age and wear, scratches on cardboard slipcase, small bumps / scratches and stains on spine of facsimile.
