DODANE TYPE XXI. Circa: 1950. Iconic chronograph of the French army. Equipped with a Valjoux 231, Type XXI watches were produced for pilots because they featured the highly innovative flyback function, allowing multiple timekeeping. Signed black dial, service. Painted Arabic numerals. Permanent seconds counter at 9 o'clock, chronometer minutes counter at 3 o'clock. Bidirectional steel bezel. Hand-wound mechanical movement. Blue fabric strap, pin buckle. Accompanied by its 1989 Dodane service invoice. This watch comes directly from the fighter pilot to whom it was given on his posting in the army. Diameter: 37 mm. Length: 18 cm.
