ROME Theodosius II (402-450) Solidus, 4.42g, Constantinople, 441-450, helmeted, diademed and cuirassed bust facing three-quarters, holding spear and shield, D N THEODOSIVS . P. F. AVG, rev. IMP. XXXXII. COS. XVII. P. P., Constantinople seated left holding cruciger globe and scepter, foot on bow, shield right and star left, COMOB in exergue (Sear 21140; Fr.16). A few marks on the edge, very fine to almost superb.
