CHINA, for the Compagnie des Indes, 18th century Round hollow dish with gadroons, in famille rose enameled porcelain, decorated in the basin with the presumed coat of arms of the Danycan family, famous shipowners from Saint-Malo known as "fricasseurs d'or" (gold fricasseurs), because on their return from fruitful campaigns in the Orient, they used to blow up gold coins in stoves.
