The night and its battles come to an end, a new day dawns. One image is all it takes to realize that one of the cubs has not survived. Always faithful to his "scopes", these large horizontal squares, Rochette lingers on the unchanging mountains of the Vercors, far above human or animal tragedies and passions.
I also wanted to show some of the emblematic peaks of this nave of stone that is the Vercors, as here, the Grand Veymont. There's a bittersweet note in this plate: the cub is dead, but life goes on. Animals don't mourn for long, their way of life doesn't allow for it, they have to move on quickly. J.-M.R
