This petite nature bust of a child is a touching example of the portrait art of Scottish artist Sir William Reid Dick. Associate and later Academician of the Royal Academy and President of the Royal Society of British Sculptors from 1933 to 1938, the sculptor was knighted in 1935 by King George V and served as the King's Ordinary Sculptor until his death.
