Fourgon" horse-drawn vehicle. At the end of the 19th century, well-to-do people sent their servants and luggage ahead in this carriage. A few days before setting off on a long journey, the servants were sent to convoy this van loaded with clothes and anything else they might need. They travelled in the small cabriolet at the front, and the luggage was piled into the vehicle's enormous rear trunk under a waterproof tarpaulin.
